LifeSharp is our complimentary maintenance service, available to all owners of authentic Benchmade knives. Whether your knife needs a tune-up or a fresh edge, we’ll clean, oil, sharpen, and adjust it—for free.
What’s Included
Every knife sent through LifeSharp receives:

Blade sharpening

Deep cleaning and lubrication

Inspection and hardware adjustments

Tune-up of deployment and lockup
There’s no cost for these services. You only cover the shipping cost of sending your knife to us. We’ll take care of the rest, including return shipping.

To get started, complete our LifeSharp Service Form. There, you’ll find instructions and fields to submit your request.
Once submitted, ship your knife to the address provided using the tips below.
Shipping Tips
To ensure your knife arrives safely:

Use a sturdy box—do not use padded envelopes

You do not need to send the original box (we are unable to return it)

Retain your tracking number for reference

We recommend shipping with UPS or FedEx for better tracking reliability
What to Expect

Once your knife is received, please allow 3–5 business days for it to be checked in

You’ll receive a confirmation email from our Product Services team once it’s logged

LifeSharp service typically takes up to 3 business days from check-in to completion
If you request non-warranty services (like voluntary blade or handle replacement), we’ll reach out to confirm availability, pricing, and payment before proceeding.
Special Note on Automatic Knives (OTF/Switchblades)
If you are sending in an automatic knife, additional legal requirements apply under U.S. Federal Law.
Due to the Federal Switchblade Act, we can only ship automatic knives directly back to customers who are active military, law enforcement, first responders, or Oregon residents. If you qualify, select “Yes” and sign the AKOA form during your service request.
If not, no problem—just choose an authorized Benchmade dealer near you for return delivery.
