We take pride in standing behind the tools we produce and sell, both through our direct channels and authorized retailers. If you have purchased a product directly from Benchmade and it is in its original condition, you can return it within 60 days of purchase for a replacement or refund.
If you have purchased a Benchmade product from an authorized dealer, we are more than happy to assist with servicing, but kindly direct any return-related inquiries to the dealer from whom you made the purchase.
Please be aware that customized products are unique in approach We want your order to meet your exact specifications, so it's essential to carefully review all customization details, including spelling, dates, names, and graphics, before submitting your order. We guarantee the craftsmanship and quality of our customized products and ensure that your tool will be personalized exactly as requested.
Due to the personalized nature of custom-built or laser-marked products, we are unable to accept returns for these items. However, if any mistake occurs on our part, we are committed to rectifying the situation and making it right.

HOW TO SUBMIT A CLAIM
While we are always saddened to see customers returning a Benchmade product, we understand that finding the perfect knife can sometimes be a journey. Should you ever decide to give Benchmade another try, we'll be here, ready to assist you in finding the ideal knife that will become a trusted companion for your adventures.
NOTE: Benchmade cannot accept returns for any product that was not purchased at Benchmade.com.
Here are the steps to take to start a return:
- Go to https://www.benchmade.com/apps/returns
- Find your Customer PO# in the email confirmation you received or check the packing slip or login to your account
- NOTE: the Customer PO# is 10-11 digits long and begins with "1100" (e.g. "1100xxxxxxx"
- If you cannot locate your Customer PO #, please contact Customer Service at one of the methods listed at the bottom of this article
- Follow the prompts to select which item you would like to return
- Please note, at this time, you can only select one item per return request. If you have multiple items, please submit another return request for each additional item.
- Choose a Refund Method
- Select a Shipping Method
- Click Submit
- Depending on which shipping method is selected, you will receive an email with a shipping label and instructions for returning your item
- Once we receive your item(s), we will inspect the product for refund authorization. If the return request is approved, you will receive an email confirmation.
- Depending on which refund method was selected,
- you will receive a refund issued to the Credit Card was used for the original order
- OR receive a Gift Card Code via email that can be used to purchase a different Benchmade product
