At Benchmade, precision and performance are at the core of everything we do. While we support self-repair for select exterior parts, there are certain components we do not ship directly to customers. Rest assured, we still want your knife to last a lifetime. Let the Benchmade team service your knife at our factory and ship it back to you through our Warranty service.
What We Don’t Send
We are unable to send the following parts for at-home replacement:

Blades

Handle scales
-
Internal liners
-
AXIS® lock springs
-
Spacers and standoffs
-
Female portions of pivot or handle screws
Why These Parts Aren’t Shipped
Precision Fit Matters
Many of these components require precise alignment, tension, or tuning that can’t be replicated outside our factory. Even small misalignments can impact safety, lockup, or blade performance.
Safety First
Internal mechanisms—especially liners, springs, and blades—are critical to the safe operation of your knife. Improper installation can result in mechanical failure or injury.
Warranty Integrity
To maintain the high standards of our warranty and ensure your knife performs as intended, these components must be installed, tested, and tuned by a Benchmade technician.
Limited Availability & Tooling Requirements
Some components, such as the female side of a pivot or internal spacers, require specialized tools or jigs to be installed correctly. These are not available outside of our service center and are often unique to the model.
What to Do Instead
If your knife needs one of these parts, we’ve got you covered—just send it in through our Lifesharp & Warranty Service. We’ll:

Assess your knife for repair or replacement

Install parts safely and correctly

Clean, sharpen, and tune your knife (included in Lifesharp)
This service is free for covered issues and only requires you to cover shipping to us. Return shipping is on us.
