At Benchmade, your security is our priority. That’s why we partner with NoFraud, a trusted third-party fraud prevention service, to protect both you and our business from unauthorized purchases and fraudulent activity.
What is NoFraud?
NoFraud is a fraud prevention platform that screens online orders using proprietary data, behavioral analytics, and real-time risk analysis to ensure that the person placing an order is the legitimate cardholder. This allows Benchmade to fulfill legitimate orders faster while blocking potentially fraudulent ones—without adding extra friction for most customers.
Why Does Benchmade Use NoFraud?
We’re proud to make high-quality, high-value knives—and we take fraud prevention seriously to protect our customers, our products, and our reputation. NoFraud helps us:
- Verify cardholder identity
- Detect signs of fraud instantly
- Minimize false declines
- Maintain secure, seamless checkout experiences
Will My Order Be Screened by NoFraud?
Almost all online orders are automatically reviewed by NoFraud. In most cases, this happens instantly, and you’ll never even notice it. However, a small number of orders may be flagged for manual verification.
If your order is flagged, you may receive a short email or text from NoFraud asking you to confirm specific order or billing information.
What Do I Need to Do if I'm Asked to Verify?
- Respond promptly to NoFraud's request with the information they ask for (this is usually simple, like confirming your billing address or identity).
- NoFruad’s communications will never ask for sensitive personal information like your Social Security Number.
- Verification typically takes just a few minutes and helps us ship your order faster.
You can trust that these messages are legitimate—NoFraud is our official fraud screening partner, and they are acting on our behalf.
Why Might an Order Be Cancelled?
In some cases, NoFraud may not be able to verify the transaction. When this happens, your order is automatically cancelled, and your payment is voided or refunded.
Common reasons for cancellation include:
- A mismatch between billing and shipping information
- Use of a VPN or anonymous proxy during checkout
- Unusual purchase patterns or high-risk behavior
- Multiple failed transactions using the same payment method
- Suspicious email or IP address activity
Unfortunately, we’re not able to share the specific reason an order was cancelled, as this information is part of NoFraud’s proprietary risk assessment model and is kept private to protect you and others from bad actors.
What Should I Do if My Order Was Cancelled?
If your order was cancelled and you believe it was a mistake:
- Double-check that your billing, shipping, and contact information are correct.
- Try placing your order again.
- If you continue to have trouble, contact us and we’ll be happy to assist.
