We understand how important your Benchmade knife is—whether it was a trusted companion or an incredible find. This form helps us facilitate potential reunions between lost knives and their rightful owners. Below is everything you need to know about submitting a report and what to expect from the process.
How to Report
Use the Lost & Found Knife Report form to share details about a knife you’ve either lost or found. The more information you provide—such as identifying characteristics, model numbers, approximate location and date—the better chance we have of matching a lost knife to a found one.
Reporting a Lost Knife
If you’ve lost your Benchmade knife:
- Submit as many details as possible: knife model, engraving, identifying marks, any photos you may have, and where and when it was last seen.
- Once your report is submitted, it will be added to our internal log of lost knives.
- We regularly review new submissions for potential matches. If a knife is turned in that aligns with your report, we may reach out to verify and coordinate next steps.
Please note:
We cannot guarantee recovery, but we will do our best to facilitate potential matches based on available information.
Reporting a Found Knife
If you’ve found a knife and would like to return it:
- Submit a report with a description of the knife, when and where it was found, and upload some photos if possible.
- Within a few days of submission, we’ll provide you with a prepaid shipping label via email so you can send the knife to Benchmade for safekeeping and review.
- We will securely store the knife while we attempt to locate a potential owner through matching lost reports.
If an owner cannot be identified within a reasonable timeframe, we’ll arrange to return the knife to you, as the reporting party.
What to Expect After Submission
- You will receive a confirmation message once your form is submitted.
- A Benchmade team member may follow up if additional details are needed or if we believe there’s a potential match.
- There are no guarantees, but your report helps build a database that increases the chances of reuniting knives with their owners.
- Timing will vary depending on volume and the complexity of submitted reports.
Privacy & Information Handling
All information submitted is kept secure and used only for the purpose of verifying ownership and facilitating the reunion process. We do not share personal contact details unless explicit permission is given.
Thank you for helping support a community of respect, responsibility, and shared values. Whether you're returning a knife or searching for one, your effort makes a difference.
