Benchmade proudly supports customers worldwide. If you're located outside the United States and your knife needs sharpening, adjustment, or repair, you can still take advantage of our LifeSharp and Warranty services. Just follow the steps below.
How to Request Service (Outside the U.S.)
To begin the service process:
- Complete the Warranty & LifeSharp Request Form
- Print the packing slip received via email and include it in your package
- Ship your knife to the U.S. address provided in the instructions
Important Notes Before You Ship
We’re here to help, but there are a few critical things to know before sending your knife across borders:
You Are Responsible for Shipping, Duties & Import Taxes
Benchmade does not cover or reimburse international shipping costs, and we are not liable for any customs duties, taxes, or brokerage fees incurred upon entry into the United States or back to the originating country.
Benchmade Is Not Liable for Confiscation
Many countries restrict or prohibit the import/export of knives. If your knife is seized, delayed, or returned by customs, Benchmade is not responsible for the loss or outcome.
We strongly recommend checking your country’s export and re-entry regulations before sending in your knife.
Clearly Mark the Package as a “Knife for Repair”
To reduce customs delays, mark the shipment as:
"Benchmade Knife – Returning to Manufacturer for Repair – No Commercial Value"
Be sure to declare a low value ($10–$20 USD) for repair purposes only, unless otherwise required by your country.
What to Expect
- Once your knife arrives, you’ll receive an email confirmation after it is checked in
- LifeSharp and Warranty services typically take 3-5 business days after check-in
- If any repair falls outside of warranty, we’ll contact you before proceeding
- Benchmade will cover the return shipping of your serviced knife back to you
