When filling out the warranty or LifeSharp form, you may notice a charge appear if you select “Blade Replacement.” Here's what you need to know:
Minor Damage? We Can Likely Fix It
If your blade has a chip, nick, or small imperfection, we can almost always sharpen it out, free of charge, as part of our LifeSharp service.
When Blade Replacement Is Needed
If the blade is severely damaged, broken, or beyond repair, it may need to be replaced. If this issue is due to a manufacturing defect, the replacement may be covered under warranty and will be done at no cost to you.
What We Recommend
- Leave the “Blade Replacement” box unchecked unless you’re certain you want to pay for a new blade.
- Instead, leave a note in the comments section of the form. Let us know:
- What the issue is
- What you’d like done (e.g., “Sharpen if possible. If not, please contact me about blade replacement.”)
This gives our technicians the chance to assess the knife and determine the best course of action, without automatically charging you.
If you’re unsure how to proceed, feel free to contact us at info@benchmade.com or call 1-833-557-2526. We’re happy to help!
